Pensive Reflections. . .Feb 21 2015

Never ever presume things in the relations, the silence in the relationship deafen the love within making way for the grievances. Take the time and the effort to speak and clarify coz the words indeed are the bridges to let the love flow effortlessly.

Chronicles of a Solitary Soul – A Twenty Rupee Note

The world is a beautiful place for sure, but it really makes me ponder as to why different people are blessed in different manner to strive and survive in this beautiful world. Why are there so many classes, so many privileges and so many differentiations that govern the lives of those who dwell in this beautiful world? There are some who have the luxury of residing in the lavish homes, while there are others who find their haven beneath the shadow of starry sky; there are some who are served with the choicest of the delicacies, while there are others who find their hunger sated from the leftovers; there are some who are adorned with the branded apparels of highest grade, while there are others who just manage to cover themselves with whatever they get. Some may refer it the outcome of past birth deeds, some may call it the culmination of karma philosophy and some might just shrug & move ahead saying there are indeed better things to look and ponder about.

Pensive Reflections. . .Feb 15 2015

Negativity always breeds the negativity. The hatred within or outside will always come back to you, directly or indirectly, as it follows the laws of the universe - everything that goes out comes back.

Micro Fiction - Realization

Source: Google Images

After finishing the daily chores, I sit in front of the mirror combing the hair and as I look up to see myself, the reflection I see astonishes me altogether for what I see is not me but a deformed piece of flesh with the lust marks of my wild husband all over. The reflection prompts me to ponder and retrospect as to who am I and what’s my existence to him, a recreational object which during the daytime serves food to him on the table and during the night gets served to him on bed.

Now, in Shattered Dreams, Shubha Vilas narrates the riveting drama of Rama’s exile. Through tales of Rama’s unwavering and enigmatic persona, the book teaches us how to handle reversals positively; through Bharata’s actions, it teaches us to handle temptation; and through Sita’s courage, to explore beyond our comfort zone. This complicated family drama provides deep insights on how human relationships work and how they fail.

With Valmiki’s Ramayana as its guiding light, Shattered Dreams deftly entwines poetic beauty from the Kamba Ramayana and Ramacharitramanas, as well as folk philosophy from the Loka Pramana tales, to demonstrate how the ancient epic holds immediate relevance to modern life. Experience the ancient saga of the Ramayana like never before.
